This year’s President’s lunch was kindly hosted by the Dixon and McCrea families and was sponsored by Rea Valley Tractors.

The beautiful weather and gorgeous setting made for a fantastic day. The guests were greeted with Pimms (provided by Shire Bars) and canapes before sitting down to a fantastic meal courtesy of Oak Apple catering. The delicious puddings were provided by the SFYFC presidents.

The promise auction was very entertaining and was led by our very own Chris Potter who has the gift of the gab. He made sure everyone left with warm hearts and empty pockets. The guests also enjoyed a fun game of heads and tails and a superb raffle with some great prizes. The money raised will go to; The Lingen Davies Cancer Fund, Shropshire Riding for the Disabled, The British Heart Foundation and SFYFC.

Clarrie finished the day with a powerful speech about how Shropshire Young Farmers is constantly growing and adapting for the better. She praised the 18 clubs on this year’s achievements and raised a toast to this continuing success.

Thank you to the Social Committee for looking after everyone so well, particularly on such a hot day!
A massive thank you to everyone who donated prizes and helped organise this wonderful event.
