SFYFC presents Blind Date. Wow, what a night!

Shropshire YFC held its annual game show night on Friday 20th at Hadnall village hall. The theme this year was Blind Date which was a very popular 90s dating show. The format of the show was simple. An individual looking for love would ask questions to three singles without being able to see them and choose one to go on a date with based on their answers.

Over 100 Shropshire YFC members came to witness our fantastic Cilla (Katie Williams from Whittington and Oswestry YFC) and Graham (Tom Sellers from Rea Valley YFC) play matchmakers with contestants from across the county which ensured a LORRA LORRA LAUGHS.

The talent on show was unbelievable; contestants made up alter egos, changed their accents and were absolutely hysterical when put on the spot by our Cilla with her extremely “interesting” questions. Graham was exceptionally thorough and witty with his cheeky summaries on each contestant.

A special mention to a hilarious gentleman from the West Country who looked suspiciously like Bobby Brooker from Shawbury YFC who was certainly an interesting catch!

It was a fabulous night with a great turnout. All of the willing and confident singletons from across Shropshire really made the night; we couldn’t have done it without them.

The Social Committee (Jess Mason, Rach Cooper and Andy Roberts) are extremely grateful to everyone who helped make the night a great success.
