County Carol Service

This Year's Shropshire Young Farmers' County Carol Service was held at St. Laurences Church, Ludlow on Tuesday 13th November. Organised by County Chairman Becky Green, the service featured an "Around the Wolrd" theme. with Shropshire Young Farmers' members explaining some of the very interesting Christmas traditions held by different countries across the world.

The church was filled with some fabulous singing, including some solo verses sang by Jessica Evans (Wem YFC) and Tom Harris (Ludlow YFC).  Alberbury YFC handbell ringers gave a brilliant performance of Good King Wenceslas and to finish the service, the 12 Days of Christmas was brought to life through acting by members from across the county.

The Service was well supported, by County members, family and friends. Mulled wine and mince pies were enjoyed by all afterwards and everyone left in the Christmas spirit!

The collection during the service will be split between St Laurences Church and Shropshire Young Farmers' Chosen Charities for the year, including Oak Farm Friends Association, Midlands Air Ambulance and Breastcancer Care.

Thank you to all who supported the Service, especially to those who participated with readings, singing, acting and helping with refreshments. A special thanks to Reverend Kelvin Price and all of those at St Laurences Church for welcoming SFYFC to such a beautiful venue. Thank you also to Bluefin Insurance for generously sponsoring the SFYFC Carol Service.
