News from the County Chairman...

It’s a good job this newsletter is typed as I don’t have much a voice left after a crazy weekend in Torquay for the AGM – I trust all SFYFC members had a lovely time J
Firstly a huge congratulations to Rushbury and Cardington YFC who represented us and the West Midlands Area in the National Cheerleading Finals at the AGM. They did a fabulous job in making the county proud and I know the huge Shropshire supporters turnout was really appreciated by the club.
Huge thank you to all Clubs and Members who took part in the Chairman's Charity Weekend, it was so great to see hundreds of members helping out in their local communities, for a full report please click here.
Competitions-wise this month we have had the Clay Pigeon shooting, which once again saw a brilliant turn out on a lovely sunny day in Donnington, please see below for the results.
Training this month we have had Flower Arranging Training and Cookery Training in preparation for the up and coming Rally and Show. Thank you to everyone who has attended and all of the trainers for their help! Coming up we have “How to Stage a Cube” and “Junior Cupcake Decorating” Training; please see the website for details. Rach Stokes has stepped down from the Training role and I would like to thank her for all she has done as the Training Officer. If you would like to arrange any training or a Curve module for your club please contact Nat Reynold / the Office.
Social once again hosted a fabulous Easter Ball at Ludlow Racecourse, which was well attended by lots of members wearing Big Bows from Shropshire and further afield!
AGRI Forum News: This month Jonny Dymond and Sarah Hardman hosted a Farm Business Planning evening, it was very well attended and members picked up some handy tips! Coming up this month Sarah has organised a trip around Mawley Milk in Cleobury Mortimer – please see the website for more details.
Rally: Coming up we have the Field Day and Farm Business Day – good luck to everyone who is taking part!! Make sure you bring your friends and family along to show off SFYFCs skills and join in the support for the Tug of War competition at the end of the day.
Shropshire Show is nearly here!! I’m so excited to see everyone’s Irish entries, especially the Island Floats!! Don’t forget the Dance this year is on the Sunday night as it’s a bank holiday weekend #sundaysocial
Young Members – keep an eye out on your INBOX! The YMC top table are sending around a questionnaire to all young members to help shape YFC in the future – your responses would be greatly appreciated.
In a couple of weeks 30 of us are off to Northern Ireland on the Chairman's Trip – I’ll give you a full report when I return.
Good luck to all members and clubs in the up and coming competitions.
See you around,

Congratulations to Rushbury and Cardington YFC who competed at the NFYFC Cheerleading Final at AGM last weekend.
